Use and Care
Cohas slates are easy to clean and reuse. Simply wipe away the lettering, and write again! Orders include Zig Posterman markers. The Zig Posterman fine markers feature a 1mm tip, perfect for making thin lines. Once dry, the marker will not smudge or wash off with just water, but removes easily with Windex or an ammonia based cleaner. For a permanent design, spray the finished slate with acrylic overcoat.
Slate is mined in a quarry in New England and hand-split into roofing tiles. The tiles are then cut with a wet saw into small, medium, and large sizes. The stakes feature a pointed tip for easy driving into the soil. The slate features a natural organic look that is a dark gray color.
Do not use a hammer or force when driving the stakes into the ground. This can cause splintering of the slate. If splintering occurs, use care when handling broken pieces.
