Hand painted slate Christmas ornaments feature chalk art created by one of our artists on a natural stone pieces. Customers can use the slate ornaments when decorating their homes and businesses. Use and Care

Cohas slate ornaments are easy to use. Add your own twine, ribbon, or cord through the pre-drilled hole and tie off. Use traditional hanging hooks, or hang from a nail, hook, or screw. Use care when hanging to ensure tree branch or hook is strong enough to hold slate. Do not drop slate, as this can cause splintering and sharp edges. Handle broken pieces carefully.

Slate is hand-split stone, cut from roofing tiles that were mined in a quarry in New England. It features a natural organic look that is dark gray in color. Each piece is selected based on size and shape for the particular artwork.

The artwork is painted with an acrylic waterproof paint and then sprayed with a clear matte overcoat to ensure weatherproofing.
