The increasingly popular Woodcraft markers are becoming a thing of the past. Soon, the Woodcraft markers will be replaced by Acrylista product line. Although the new markers are just a rebranded version of the Woodcraft, customers can expect some changes.
Why So Popular
The Woodcraft markers have become popular with chalkboard artists at grocery stores like Whole Foods, Fareway, Safeway, and New Seasons. Available in up to 50 colors, designers could choose from artistic colors like Moss Green, Honeysuckle, and Victorian Blue. The wide selection let artists create realistic portrayals of fruits, vegetables and other produce.
Here at Cohas.com, our artists used the Woodcraft colors to create in-house artwork and the art for our custom products. Our popular Custom Pineapple Slate Board is made with a variety of the Woodcraft colors.
What’s the Same
Though the marker line is going through some changes, there are a few key features that will be the same. First of all, inside the marker, the waterproof ink will be the same formula. Still guaranteeing a semi-permanent bond, the ink will only be removable with Windex or an ammonia based cleaner. And barrel sizes will not change, so the markers will hold the same amount of ink.
Additionally, the marker will still come in the 6mm Broad Chisel and 15mm Big and Broad sizes that artists have come to love. And the changes will not come at a price increase. Acrylista markers will be the same price as the Woodcraft markers in both sizes.
What’s New
First and foremost, the factory is dropping some of the colors they offer in both the tips sizes. In the 6mm Woodcraft line, the factory once offered as many as 31 artistic colors. This number will decline to just 20 Arcylista colors. For the 15mm Woodcraft marker, there was once 25 artistic colors available. This has dropped now to 18 colors.

Here Today, Gone Tomorrow
For the colors that will still be available, the Woodcraft markers will be replaced by Acrylista product line as we deplete our Woodcraft inventory. Customers may notice a change in the Woodcraft section of our website as the marker images are replaced with Acrylista markers. We may also begin sending the Acrylista markers in replacement of the Woodcraft markers.
All colors that have been discontinued will have the stock denoted on the marker buy page so that customers can see how many we have left. Once we run out, they are gone!

Looking for a specific color only to find out that it’s been discontinued? The factory has also announced a new product – Zig Posterman Paint Pots! The pots come in 12 colors and feature a well of the waterproof ink that’s found in the Zig Posterman, Woodcraft and Acrylista marker products. Some colors that have been discontinued in Acrylista (including Golden Yarrow!) are available as a paint pot. Check them out here!
